Stats and facts on British pubs (useless bits of info)

Publocation UK has identified and listed 3145 pubs in the Greater London area, in the process we have isolated some interesting statistics in relation to the variety of names attached to those pubs.

Here is our breakdown.

Names

There are 24 pub names with 10 or more listings, we start with highest down:

Animals

Animals rate nearly as often as Royalty.

There are:

33 Lions, 22 Foxes, 12 Lambs, 10 Bulls, 8 Stags 8 Horses, 8 dogs, 8 Hares, 7 eagles, 4 Dragons, 3 each of Bear, Bird, Duck, Elephant, Swan, 2 Cows, Pheasants, Unicorns, Owls and Cats, and 1 Black Parrot, Brass Monkey, Tortoise, Pig, Rabbit and where would we be without a Walrus.

Numbers

We have all the names, we can’t leave out numbers:

There is 1 One… The One Tun in Camden

There are 9 Twos, 24 Threes, 1 four, 3 fives, 1 Six,1 seven, 4 eights, 1 nine, a 25 and a 29 at last count!

And just to round it off there are 11 Jollys… so have a Jolly time finding them all.
