This traditional two-bar pub has been a McMullen house since 1923.
This lovely old-fashioned pub in a hidden waterside location has a fascinating history – because it’s right next to Enfield’s old armaments factory it was taken over during the Great War by the Liquor Control Board, presumably on the grounds that ale and gunpowder are not an ideal cocktail!
Delightfully furnished and decorated to create that ’home from home’ feel, the Greyhound offers pool tables, darts, occasional live music and a convivial atmosphere in the public bar and relaxed drinking and eating in the lounge. Well-behaved pooches are very welcome in the public bar.
Hand-crafted local ales are a speciality as are our carefully selected wine list.
The team look forward to seeing you soon.
