About The Wat Tyler:
Situated near the railway station next to the parish church at the High Street pedestrian area, this early 15th century pub, named after Wat Tyler the Peasant Revolt leader, was known as the Crown & Anchor until 1966.
A narrow bar leads to a raised quieter area at the rear of the pub. Old Peculier is a rare regular beer for the area.
