Run by Willie, Barbara and Sarah for over 40 years, the Eight Bells is a favourite pub for many Bures residents as well as those from a little further outside the village. We always feature a range of local ales from breweries including the Colchester Brewery, Woodfordes, the Humpty Dumpty brewery and many more!
A large proportion of our food is homemade, including the ever popular spotted dick and most of our weekday specials such as toad in the hole and steak and kidney pudding.
Our ethos is to keep things simple!
