Welcome To The Black Bull Inn
The Black Bull is a 16th century listed building with lots of original features. Local historians have traced the origins of Brookhouse village to medieval times and its is suspected that The Black Bull is the original village inn.
Brookhouse is one of a number of small villages situated alongside, or close to, the A683, a modern road that roughly follows the line of the 18th century turnpike along the level low-lying Lune valley bottom.
The Black Bull offers travellers of the pike a place to rest relax and enjoy home cooked food and local beers and spirits to warm their cockles on the cold days.
Not only do we welcome travellers but also their four legged friends as we are a pet friendly pub.
