The Golden Grove is owned and run by old school mates James and Steve. They also own and run The Red Lion in Shepperton.
They met at Thamesmead School, just around the corner from the Red Lion. After traveling the world working and learning the hospitality trade, they opened there first restaurant in 2004 in London to great success and international acclaim.
In 2013 they returned to Shepperton with families and took on the task of rebuilding the Red Lion to what it is today. Robbie joined James and Steve early in the project and has curated the menus ever since. Originally from Grimsby, Robbie is an amazing creative chef that has taken the Red Lion to fantastic heights in gastronomy, and his training to our young chefs is second to none.
