Welcome to The Fisherman’s Arms free house. We're one of Plymouth’s oldest pubs and a real hidden gem, being located a few minutes walk from the historic and vibrant Barbican.
Situated on Lambhay Street which is just above the Mayflower Steps in the area where the 14th century Plymouth Castle used to stand, we're proud of the pub's historic character with part of the castle walls inside the pub.
It's furnished attractively with an open fire, oak floors, candlelit tables, comfortable seating and lots of Cosy tables. We offer real ales, great value food and drink and aim for everyone to feel a part of our pub community. On fine days, we have street tables and chairs - perfect for soaking up the sunshine in the afternoon and evening.
The Fisherman’s Arms is a country pub in the city, and is proud to be just that, a real pub. We're dog friendly - in fact the pub's Miniature Schnauzer, Mr Jones, is often on hand to oversee dog manoeuvres and to ensure that our own beer, brewed just for us by Plymouth brewer Summerskills and named after himself, is served in tip top condition!
