Owner, Rebecca, after recently qualifying from Leith's School of Food and Wine took over The Shepherd & Dog in October 2019 with her daughter; sharing a dream to restore the pub to its former glory. After four stressful weeks of refurbishments, the pub re-opened its doors as a Great British gastro-pub; offering Cosy furnishings, classic cuisine and a one-of-the-family feeling. Subsequently the pub became busier and busier, until Covid-19 gave the business a harsh blow. However, the team are more than excited to return to their beloved pub! The Shepherd prides itself on its outstanding level of service, paired with a menu that aims to have something for everyone, allowing for a truly extraordinary eating experience for all the family.
