Hugo Townsend welcomes you to The White Hart Inn, one of the oldest Inns of Essex. The inn is a medieval hall building and is believed to have been built in the thirteenth century. In the eighteenth century The Great Yarmouth Stage stopped here.
We still offer the traditional fare of the coaching inn: comfortable bedrooms, delicious home cooked food and superb real ales.
Our Kitchen & bar provides locally sourced ingredients and beverages from around the East Anglian area.
The White Hart Inn is excellently situated in Halstead High Street and located within reach of beautiful views of the Colne valley and only a quick drive away from the towns of Braintree, Sudbury, Colchester And Chelmsford.
