About Owd Kess's:
Formerly the Commercial Inn, it was run for many years pre-war by landlord Kess Walls - aka Owd Kess.
It was always known by this name and was officially renamed Owd Kess's a few years ago.
A community local which was closed for some time but re-opened in 2012 - currently offering the only real ale available in Platt Bridge.
