​The Tap 'N' Barrel is a multi award winning Free House located in Wigan Town Centre, specialising in Real Ales from breweries local and further afield and Real Ciders and Perries from around the country.

​Here at the Tap ‘n’ Barrel we pride ourselves on serving great beers from numerous well known breweries who deliver directly to us. Our focus is promoting Real Ale, whilst also striving to create an atmosphere that promotes good conversation, with good company and a real good time.

The Tap ‘n’ Barrel has fast become recognised as a true haven for connoisseurs of well-kept Real Ale, Still Ciders and Craft Beers. We are pleased to be considered by our patrons to be a relaxing, welcoming environment, with friendly and knowledgeable staff, who are happy to help and advise you on your drinks choice. At any one time you will find a good selection Real Ales, available on the bar, along side an excellent array of Craft Beers. Also available are hand-pulled Still Ciders, Continental Draft Lagers, and Fruit Beers, and an excellent selection of Wines; Prosecco and as well as a wide range of Spirits, featuring specialist Gins, Whiskeys and Vodkas. We also offer a good selection of snacks, crisps; nuts and pork pies. There truly is something to suit all tastes.

The bar takes on a whole new lease of life on when Live Acts play at various times throughout the month, with Sunday afternoons especially being a weekly hit. The Tap plays host to many different artists playing music from a variety different styles and genres.
