Since the time of King Henry VIII the George & Dragon, Chipstead has been offering hospitality to locals and visitors.

Renovated by new owner Benjamin James in 2009, his mission was to breathe life back into a beautiful but tired sixteenth-century pub, using tasteful décor, a roaring log fire and a menu that changes daily and uses the best of what the local, organic farms in Kent, Sussex, and Surrey have to offer.

The open fire, beautiful oak beams and original features make this gastropub the perfect venue for any occasion.

In the summer months the established and tranquil garden is the perfect place for a casual lunch, dinner with friends, or romantic dinner for two.

At its heart the George & Dragon, Chipstead remains a local village pub, offering a warm welcome, genuine hospitality and excellent food.
