This grand old coaching inn has been in continuous use since at least the early 1800s.

In the nineteenth century it served food and drink to coachmen, weary passengers and a highwayman or two as they travelled up and down the busy London to Hastings coaching route.

These days it still provides a warm welcome to those using the busy London Road, serving refreshing drinks and home cooked food in the pretty village of Dunton Green, just 2 miles north of Sevenoaks.

Our menus are full of hearty favourites and country pub classics, including our steak & mushroom pie and beer-battered fish and chips, as well as seasonal surprises if you’re after something a little different.
