Separated from the rest of the town's pubs at the north end of the High Street and close to the green and the Hope statue lies this traditional free house.
A quiz is held on Monday evenings. There is a focus on local beers and a lower priced beer badged as Bull's Malling Special is often from Musket.
The terraced garden features covered areas and heaters for colder months but is a surprising suntrap in summer.
