A traditional pub in the village of Wouldham.
Located in the Kent North Downs between Maidstone and Rochester.
The Medway Inn is found in Wouldham in Kent, a small village on the river Medway which is situated between the towns of Rochester and Maidstone. It is a quiet and friendly village, and though it is only a few miles from either town, it is protected from its urban neighbours by the rural north downs, a range of hills that span Kent and Surrey.
NORTH DOWNS
Because of its location the pub is popular with walkers and cyclists, who use it as a convenient resting place when exploring the Kent countryside and the north downs.
VICTORIAN PUB
The pub was built in the 1860's and catered for the thirsty cement workers and quarry men who then lived in the village. Those days are now gone and the cement works are a distant memory, but the pub - as ever - remains an important focal point for many villagers.
PUB HOSPITALITY
The Medway Inn offers traditional pub hospitality, serving good beers and fine wines in a comfortable, relaxing atmosphere. The pub has a pool table, two dart boards and a large plasma screen for major sporting events.
OUTDOOR SEATING
And for those lazy sun-kissed afternoons, when a cold beer and a chilled wine has to be drunk outside, the Medway Inn offers a comfortable, outdoor seating area.
