About The Black Bull Hotel:

The Black Bull sits nestled between hills, clouds and rolling green pastures, in the Ribble Valley village of Old Langho.

First registered as a Coaching Inn, in 1555, these wonky old walls have many stories to tell, and give their own warm welcome to travellers from far & wide.

An ongoing renovation has lovingly brought this atmospheric building gently into the 21st century and is once again the heart and soul of the local community.

After four kind refurbishments the Black Bull has been pulled from the decline it was suffering, in danger of losing its original character & features that we love so much. We have worked to renovate this originality and keep the warmth and personality that The Bull evokes.

From an unassuming stone exterior, you enter a softly lit bar, candles twinkling, and open fires burning on those chilly Lancashire days!

Enjoy a crisp, local beer or wine from our extensive range, and move through to our Fire Barn Restaurant to be greeted by our sumptuous A la Carte. Enjoy the vaulted, beamed ceiling in this 300yr old cow shed – complete with tie rings still in the wall, original stonework, and just chat and dine the night away!

On the warmer days, our extensive garden boasts panoramic views across the Ribble Valley and towards Pendle Hill.

Watch the sun set, whilst sipping on a cocktail, sheltered in “The Pavilion” (our tipi style stretch tent) or catching the last of those tranquil summer rays on our suntrap of a paved terrace.

Being located close to Brockhall Village and directly next door to Ribble Valley View Lodge Park, the Black Bull has become the continuous buzzing hub of Old Langho.

Opening seven days a week, and serving a both classic & contemporary British menu all through the day, we are able to focus on using the best quality seasonal produce from locally sourced suppliers.

Our ethos is good, honest, hearty fayre, and a warm welcome to all.
