WELCOME TO THE HOSPITAL INN, BAMBER BRIDGE, PRESTON
In every town all inns or taverns have a long history.
As a consequence, the name of our public houses have a diversity of historical value and origin.
The Hospital Inn reputedly offered cheer and hospitality to the injured soldiers of the Crimean War (1854-1856), en route to the infirmary.
With anaesthetics still in their infancy, alcohol was the most common painkiller of the day.
Through the years, a succession of landlords and ladies have continued to provide quality sedation for both locals and travellers alike.
