Traditional country pub with fine ales, fine wine and good food.
The pub was built in the mid 18th century and stands on the village green in an attractive part of rural West Lancashire, it has a warm and welcoming atmosphere and is a popular local watering hole.
It has consistently been awarded accolades for its food being Lancashire Dining Pub of the year in the Good Pub Guide several times.
With the farm shop next door, the kitchen uses local produce from the fertile Lancashire plain and some of our own meat grown on the farm in Parbold.
We welcome drinkers and diners alike.
In the summer there is a large garden at the back of the pub which is a real sun trap with a well tended but unconventional bowling green, a games lawn and wildlife area.
