We’ve got everything you need from a country pub near you.
Built in 1896, the pub was originally called The River Wyre Hotel, local reports at the time said that it attracted some very distinguished guests.
King Edward VII was once seen drinking here with a group of gentlemen, and in the 1940's British stage and film acting couple Barry Barnes and Diana Churchill were regular visitors. It is thought that nearby Fleetwood was the first planned town of the Victorian era.
Our menus are full of hearty favourites and country pub classics, including our steak & mushroom pie and beer-battered fish and chips, as well as seasonal surprises if you’re after something a little different.
We look forward to welcoming you, and we’ll ready with a well-stocked bar, including cask ales, lager, fine wines, British gin and soft drinks to suit every taste — which will taste all the better when enjoyed in our beautiful and picturesque gardens.
