Dating back to the 19th Century, a local farmer took out a loan to purchase the building that he turned into an inn that would in turn become The Thatched House. A popular pub full of heritage, records from 1912 show that an average of 175 beer barrels a year were sold over a period of ten years, whilst bottled beers sold at a rate of 60 dozen per year.
A country pub oozing rural charm and rustic character, our picturesque surroundings provide the perfect backdrop for savoring the hearty, seasonal pub-food on our menu, and the carefully nurtured cask ales and fine wines gracing our bar.
