We are pleased to let you know that we are open and thank you for your continued support. Please note that we have new opening hours, so please check on our website or google. As we now operate table service throughout the venue, bookings will be limited to two hour slots. If you require a longer booking period, please contact us to request an extension. We strongly advise everyone to book online in advance to avoid disappointment. The maximum booking size online is for six people. For larger bookings, please contact us via email. We are currently NOT taking bookings over the phone.
All bookings allocated online for outside are for the covered (or mostly covered) tables. Our picnic benches are not covered and therefore will be allocated on a first come first served basis on arrival. IMPORTANT: In the event of bad weather, you will not necessarily be able to move inside. If you have any requests, please enter them in the comments box when booking and we will do our best to accommodate them.
Social distancing is encouraged and we recommend the wearing of masks whilst moving around inside the venue. We have retained a lot of the measures we put in place since re-opening to keep everyone safe. This includes meet and greet at the entrance, optional check in to the NHS Covid-19 app or our own QR code tracker, screens, hand sanitizer on every table and rigorous cleaning. This is not over yet!.
Our Staff & Customer's safety is paramount to us at all times. Please follow all guidance notices and requests from staff members. We will continue to operate table service & there will be limited service at the bar, one person at a time. Big groups will not be able to congregate at the bar. Contactless / card payment is requested if possible.
Please do not come to the venue if you are feeling unwell or are demonstrating any symptoms of Covid-19. Please ensure that you are adhering to all of the above. A risk assessment has been carried out and this venue is Covid Secure.

Opened in March 2012, we offer a comfortable and relaxing environment for our local community and businesses, serving delicious food in a contemporary pub environment with good old-fashioned hospitality & a smile! Check out our Light Lunch deal on Thursdays & Fridays!
Although primarily an adult environment, as most pubs are, well behaved children are allowed and we offer a children's menu too. We just ask that the kids leave by 7pm, ‘coz we feel that The Kennington turns into a more adult space after that and us adults can't always be trusted to be on our best behavior!
We are also proud to be a dog friendly pub, so it goes without saying that well behaved dogs on a lead are welcome!
