Famous Dutch institution in the West End of London specializing in Dutch and Belgian beers and all major sporting events.
With a pedigree dating to the 17th Century, De Hems takes its name from a Dutch seaman who bought the pub in 1890. Thus our history is strongly linked to the Dutch community and the Dutch Resistance who met here during the Second World War. We were a music business haunt in the 1960s and it was said that a place in the charts could be bought in our old Oyster Bar. At the turn of the new century, the venue hosted a comedy club - the Oranje Boom-Boom Cabaret, which included the debut of The Mighty Boosh.
De Hems continues to keep its Dutch heritage and remains a famous institution in the West End of London specializing in Dutch and Belgium beers.
