About Cross Keys (Upsall):

Try our new country walk to explore the beautiful countryside around our pub. Perfect if you want to build up an appetite or walk off that hearty lunch. With its distinctive red-tiled roof on walls of Yorkshire stone complete with window boxes and hanging baskets The Cross Keys is a charming farmhouse cottage pub restaurant with a tranquil country beer garden on the edge of the North York Moors National Park.Dating back to the early 1800’s the interior is snug and cosy thanks to its heritage as a set of farm cottages from which the farmer’s daughters are reputed to have once served fresh lemonade to passing travellers on their way to the coast. Set on a rural country road in sight of the stunning Roseberry Topping once named one of the world’s most romantic spots to propose The Cross Keys is a magnificent location for a relaxing pub lunch with friends and family. The nearby Cleveland Way National Trail a 110 mile horseshoe-shaped walking route through heather moorlands and dramatic coastal scenery is easily accessible as it skirts the foot of Roseberry Topping to join the coast at Saltburn-by-the-Sea. Just 12 miles from The Cross Keys Saltburn is a picturesque little Victorian seaside resort with a quaint water-powered funicular railway the Saltburn Cliff Lift.
