The Hayburn Wyke Inn is an 18th Century coaching inn set in woodland next to the coast between Scarborough and Whitby.
Today the Inn is a popular country pub offering a warm welcome in traditional surroundings where you can relax in the bar and enjoy hand pulled Yorkshire Ales and great food. The bar has lots of character with traditional wooden floors and beams, not forgetting the roaring open fire to greet you on your arrival. The bar area is happy to accommodate well behaved dogs and children.
The Railway which ran for 100 years and was closed in 1965 is now a very popular scenic off-road walk between Scarborough and Whitby and is used by hikers, dog walkers, horse riders and cyclists. This will bring you to the doorstep of the Inn for well deserved refreshments.
People taking part in The Cleveland Way Coastal walk regularly use the Inn as an overnight stop off as it is less than 1/4 mile from the coastal path.
With the charm of the countryside and yet only 7 miles from Scarborough and 15 miles from Whitby with all its history and heritage, the Hayburn Wyke Inn is the ultimate venue for private function parties, weddings, christenings or an ideal conference setting for all types of business meetings.
