Fossgate Tap, formerly Sutlers, is situated in the heart of medieval York
It sits on the corner of Fossgate, a stone’s throw from York’s most iconic street, The Shambles. This Grade II listed building dates back c1796 and previously traded as ‘The Army and Navy Store’ for 93 years. Many of the original fixtures and fittings remain; retaining the building’s historical charm. Spread over three floors, we have an assortment of spaces that are perfect for groups both large and small. Our vibrant menu is designed to compliment our wide range of craft beer, cocktails, quality cask ale and world gins. Fossgate Tap are proud to be in partnership with local brewers, Turning Point Brew Co. and permanently showcase a range of their beers.
