Situated within a Yorkshire Valley just a short hop from the Trans Pennine Trail, you will find a warm welcome here at The Waggon and Horses.
Food is key at The Waggon with an A la Carte menu and daily specials board offering imaginative, unique dishes alongside more traditional favourites such as our infamous Waggon Pie and battered Fresh Haddock with hand cut chips – all created by our excellent head chefs and their team. We also have a lunch menu on offer until 5pm for those lighter bites. Oh and don’t forget our Sunday Roasts with a choice of 4 meats served with dripping roasties, mashed potato, Yorkshire pudding and fresh vegetables – of course all homemade. We pride ourselves on the quality and freshness of our ingredients with all our produce sourced locally, where possible and the dishes produced entirely from scratch – no pre packed food here!
We have a well stocked bar of quality gins and spirits along with an enviable wine list chosen to compliment our dishes. Don’t forget our premium cask ale, lager and ciders.
When you enter our restaurant you will be welcomed like old friends into our traditional, cosy pub atmosphere and when the weather is kinder you may choose to eat in our outside beer garden.
It is our aim to enjoy the time you spend in our company. You may enter as strangers but you will definitely leave as friends.
