About The 3 Horseshoes:

This 16th century Inn was thought to be the home of local blacksmith Jospeh Dove who plied his trade across the road on the site of "The Old Smithy". Uncertain of when The Three Horseshoes first became a hostelry, it was only fitting that the Inn should adopt its name in tribute to Mr Dove.

Since then the building has undergone extensive renovations and now boasts a traditional bar, lounge and restaurant, together with three comfortable letting rooms for the tired, hungry and thirsty traveller.

Previously owned and managed for the last 12 years by business partners Bryan and David. Bryan has since retired from the day to day running, leaving David to continue to maintain the excellent standards established, the goal is to provide a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, where all patrons can enjoy great beer from the Marston's extensive range, great food sourced from local suppliers and most importantly a great warm welcome.

Situated in the National Forest close to the brewing town of Burton Upon Trent and the thought provoking National Arboretum, guests come from afar and are always welcomed by our local revelers.

The kitchen is under the stewardship of local boy Craig Thompson. Craig has worked his way up from Junior sous and now head the kitchen he delivers excellent food and a multifaceted menu including dishes suitable for all tastes and dietary requirements.
