The Cock Inn is set in the centre of pretty market town Leek on Derby Street, in the Staffordshire Moorlands. Leek itself is bustling, full of interesting shops as well as a great market, both indoor and out. The indoor market was once part of the Cock Inn and part was sold to the town by the original Brewery in 1926. The Cock was originally a Joule’s house, one of a dozen which have turned full circle and are once again in Joule’s livery.
A pub has been on this site for over 300 years, parts of the original timber structure are still visible in the front bar. The pub is very much in the Brewery’s style, cosy hideaways, oak panelling, leather settles, parquet floors and of course an open fire.
To the rear of the Tap sits the best beer garden in Leek, beautiful hanging baskets, original cobbles and an option of shelter, make this a great spot to enjoy a beer alfresco, whatever the weather. Well-behaved dogs are welcome in the bar area and there is easy parking to the rear on the towns pay and display car park.
Always on Tap, Joule’s Pale Ale, Slumbering Monk, Pure Blonde and our English craft lager Green Monkey, alongside our rotating seasonal ale and cold craft beer. All brewed in Market Drayton with pure Shropshire mineral water.
Don’t miss, the annual Leek Blues & Moorlands Americana Festival where our Brewery Tap plays centre stage hosting an array of musicians from across the Globe on the first weekend in October.
