Named after the Earl of Rosse, a local 19th Century landowner but also previously known as the "Countess of Rosse".
This pub became part of the Concept Taverns group and re-opened in mid-March 2022.
It has a large open-plan main room with a bar in the centre and a pool room.
There is outdoor seating to the rear.
The hand-pumps serve two regular real ales plus a varying guest usually from a regional brewer.
Sports are often shown on the numerous TVs or, for larger events, by a projector and screen.
As with the other Concept Taverns pubs in the area, there is an offer on real ale on Wednesdays.
There is free pool on Wednesdays.
There is also a loyalty card scheme.
