About The New Conservatory:
Local sources suggest that The New Conservatory is situated where part of the old Stock Exchange once stood (1846).
The site was demolished in 1905 and a YMCA was built.
Rumors' also suggest that an underground bar, with an entrance from Change Alley may once have existed in this exact location.
The Conservatory was an old favourite amongst the youth in the 1980’s.
Renovations and new ownership made way for The New Conservatory, the independent bar and restaurant you now know and love.
