We devote 5 pumps to real ale and one to cask cider, which we rotate regularly to ensure the excellent standards are preserved. Our menu is varied and home-cooked, ranging from the traditional to the more contemporary palate. As well as the obligatory Sunday roast and homemade pies, we include seasonal game, and other less usual options among our chef’s specials. Fish is especially popular on Fridays and weekends and our menu includes a wide selection from the ever-popular haddock and chips to more sophisticated cooking such as sea bass and recipes incorporating the catch of the day. Naturally, our menu also includes some well-considered options for the vegetarian diet and a children’s menu.
We have a large car park, plenty of seating to the front for those who fancy watching the sleepy village life over a drink, and a beer garden in which dogs are welcome to accompany their owners on lead.
