It's hard to believe that when it was built for Lady Frances Cooke Grimston in 1838 she referred to it as a ‘little cottage’. This beautiful building has been lovingly transformed into our ‘little pub’. The stone terrace has been extended to become the perfect spot for Al Fresco dining, overlooking the lawns that gently slope down towards the River Ver at the bottom of the gardens. (Although we say so ourselves) we feel we offer a gorgeous environment to dine in, either in spacious light rooms or tucked away into the cosier nooks and crannies. Our menus are created daily from fresh, local produce, dreamt up by our talented team of chefs who cater for lighter appetites as well as those wanting hearty British pub classics.
