About Charles Lamb:

A decidedly lovely corner pub in the back streets of Angel, the 170-year-old Charles Lamb is a dainty delight in cream and pastel green. Offers an ever-changing range of ales and quality of wines.

Established in 1839, the pub has been renamed in honor of Charles Lamb, the late 18th/early 19th century English essayist. Best known for his collected essays entitled 'Essays of Elia', published in 1823, he also provided the name for the road on which the pub stands ("Elia" being the pen-name Lamb used as a contributor to The London Magazine).
As a Free House the Charles Lamb carry a good selection of Real Ales, Lagers and top shelf spirits. Their expanding wine list is a good representation of their taste in New and Old World Wines.
