The Black Horse is an idyllic country pub set in the heart of the English countryside, with records dating back to 1866. The pub is nestled away in the picturesque Hertfordshire village of Brent Pelham, providing locally sourced, seasonal produce to serve fine cuisine and traditional ales within a warm, friendly and relaxed atmosphere in our bar and dining areas. Our extensive wine menu is provided by our London based Sommelier, who has also sourced a fine collection of whiskies. We are a dog friendly pub with a mature landscaped garden, secured to make it safe for children and our four legged friends and perfect to enjoy dining or drinking in the summer months. We also have a private hire room, perfect for birthdays or large party gatherings.
